Anti-Hijack

Ghost created this subtle device that is obtrusive, and unobtrusive to fight the growing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. It is designed to prevent thieves from using a brand new key or replacing the ECU to start your vehicle and then drive it away. Ghost connects to your CAN data network and uses the buttons in your vehicle (steering wheel and centre console, as well as door panels) to create an individual push sequence that needs to be completed before the engine can start.

This will activate the anti-hijack feature and once active, any attempt to start the engine will be immediately blocked. The system will sharpen the horn, flash the indicators and stall the vehicle in the event that the code cannot be found. By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can deactivate the Anti-Hijack function. This allows your vehicle to start temporarily without the need to enter the PIN.

If you have an GPS device linked up to your BMW it can be used to disable the Anti-Hijack feature, so you can still use the navigation system in your car whilst the vehicle is parked unattended. If you have a smart-phone you can also hook it up to your Ghost app to control the anti-hijack function and other functions.

Remote Control

We can connect the Ghost device to your mobile application to allow remote control of keyless start and go functions. This is helpful if you need to be somewhere other than home and valet or mechanic need to start your vehicle. The system lets you start the vehicle by selecting drive, then exit the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on an interactive map on your smartphone.

The Ghost can be installed in the dashboard area, or in the center console. It is completely concealed and tamper-proof. It doesn't require any additional wiring. The device is connected to CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to Ethernet cable) and a personal pin code is programmed in it. The pin code has to be entered prior to the vehicle's start. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system by using the cloned or replaced ECU.

If the vehicle is stolen in any way, the Ghost will go into a service mode and shut down all functions unless a PIN code is entered, or you can use the mobile app to dearm it. This is a feature that was designed to protect your vehicle from high tech thieves who are using relay boxes to steal your vehicle. This will stop thieves from using their mobile phones to turn on your sat-nav system or mp3 player to track your vehicle!

Ghost can also stop the 'Relay Style Frequency Amplifier'. This is the most common way that a vehicle is being stolen using a key fob that has been cloned or stolen by hacking. Ghost lets you stop this from happening by installing a device called Secure-A Key inside your vehicle. The device is inserted into the key fob of your vehicle and then disconnects the battery after a few inactive minutes. This is possible with the majority of modern PKE keys.
